Code of Conduct

Freedom Writers is designed to be a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all young people. All participants are expected to conduct themselves accordingly throughout the programme.

The following behaviours are grounds for immediate removal from the programme without refund:

  • Bullying, harassment, or intimidation of any participant, instructor, or member of the programme team, whether on Roblox, Discord, or any other platform
  • Use of racist, sexist, homophobic, or otherwise discriminatory language
  • Sharing inappropriate, violent, or sexual content within any programme channel
  • Attempting to access, damage, or interfere with another participant's Roblox account or game project
  • Any behaviour that the programme team reasonably considers to place another participant's safety or wellbeing at risk

Odeh & Wisdom Holdings Ltd reserves the right to remove any participant from the programme at its sole discretion where a serious breach of this Code of Conduct has occurred. No refund will be issued in such circumstances. Parents or guardians will be notified immediately of any removal and the reason for it.

Intellectual Property and Creator Partnership

All games, assets, and creative work produced by participants during Freedom Writers belong entirely to the participant. Odeh & Wisdom Holdings Ltd makes no claim of ownership over any student creation.

Your child's game is theirs. We will never sell, commercialise, or claim ownership of anything they build without a separate written agreement and agreed compensation.

Showcase licence - all participants: By registering for Freedom Writers, the parent or guardian grants Odeh & Wisdom Holdings Ltd a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display the name and a screenshot or short video clip of the participant's submitted game in Freedom Writers promotional materials, social media, website content, and grant applications. This licence does not transfer ownership of the game and may be withdrawn at any time by emailing awodarowkevin@icloud.com.

Creator Partnership - award winners only: Winners of the three Creator Challenge award categories will be invited to enter into a separate Creator Partnership Agreement with Odeh & Wisdom Holdings Ltd. Participation in the Creator Partnership is entirely voluntary and is not a condition of receiving prize Robux.

🏆 Creator Partnership Agreement

The Creator Partnership Agreement is a separate document offered exclusively to award winners and signed by the parent or guardian. It covers the following:

  • Odeh & Wisdom Holdings Ltd may feature the winning game as a case study in marketing, pitch materials, and grant applications.
  • Odeh & Wisdom Holdings Ltd is granted first right of refusal if the participant ever wishes to commercialise their game concept. This means we get the opportunity to discuss a partnership before the participant approaches any other commercial party.
  • The participant retains full intellectual property ownership of their game at all times.
  • Any commercial development of a student's game concept by OWH Ltd requires a separate written agreement with fair compensation agreed in advance and in writing with the parent or guardian.
  • The Creator Partnership runs for 12 months from the date of signing and is renewable by mutual written agreement.
  • Either party may exit the Creator Partnership at any time by giving 30 days written notice with no penalty.

Limitation of Liability

Odeh & Wisdom Holdings Ltd will always endeavour to deliver the programme as described. However, we are not liable for the following:

  • Disruption to or unavailability of the Roblox platform, Roblox Studio, or Discord, as these are third-party services outside our control.
  • A participant's inability to access the programme due to their own device, internet connection, or technical setup.
  • Loss of a participant's Roblox game data, account, or progress due to issues with Roblox Corporation's platform.
  • Any indirect, consequential, or special loss arising from participation in or inability to participate in Freedom Writers.

Our total liability to you in connection with Freedom Writers shall not exceed the amount you paid to register. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

Changes to the Programme

Odeh & Wisdom Holdings Ltd reserves the right to make reasonable changes to the programme including adjustments to tutorial content, platform tools, or supporting instructors, with reasonable advance notice to registered participants.

  • If programme dates change by more than 14 days, registered participants will be offered a full refund.
  • If the programme is cancelled entirely by Odeh & Wisdom Holdings Ltd, all registered participants will receive a full refund within 10 working days.
  • Minor changes to content, scheduling, or delivery format do not entitle participants to a refund.
  • We will notify all registered participants by email of any material changes as soon as reasonably practicable.
